A small tag, the whole story

A NoorTag is a printed code the Noor Path app recognises with the camera. Each tag carries a permanent number that the dashboard links to a place, a product, a menu or a household item.

The life of a tag

  1. Issue

A tag is issued with a permanent number that is never reused.

  2. Print

It is printed at the right size for its place.

  3. Link

It is linked to information in the dashboard, and can be moved later.

  4. Scan

The user scans it and hears the information.

Why a dedicated tag, not just a QR code

  • Made for the app’s scanner

The app recognises it and reads its content directly.

  • A permanent identity

The tag number stays the same even when what it points to changes.

  • Content updates without reprinting

Change the information in the dashboard; the tag stays put.

NoorTag questions

Does a tag need power or a battery?

No. The tag is printed; the app does the recognising.

Can I change what a tag says?

Yes, from the dashboard, without reprinting it.

How is a tag different from a QR code?

A tag is made for the Noor Path app to recognise and read directly, and its number stays fixed even when what it points to changes.
