An exhibition you can hear

A small tag beside each piece reads its description and story, so blind and visually impaired visitors experience the exhibition in full, like everyone else.

Line drawing of a museum gallery: three lit framed works, a vase on a plinth with a Noor Path tag beside it, rope barriers, and a guide path leading to the plinth.

An exhibition for everyone

  • No change to the display

Small tags that do not compete with the pieces.

  • Changes with the exhibition

When exhibits change, the description is updated in the dashboard.

  • Galleries and facilities

Each gallery’s theme and where facilities are.

A description for every piece

Beside each piece, a tag reads its name, date and a description of what sighted visitors see: shape, colour and material. The description is text written by the museum team and read aloud by the app.

Writing a good description

  • Start with what the eye sees: shape, size and colour.
  • Then material, date and story.
  • Short sentences, and avoid “as you can see”.

Frequently asked questions

Can descriptions be long?

Yes. Descriptions are text; we suggest a short paragraph followed by detail for those who want more.

Do visitors need headphones?

They are recommended in quiet galleries; the app works with any headphones connected to the phone.

Does it suit temporary exhibitions?

Yes. Tags can be repointed to the new exhibition’s content.
